Lead Consultant Catt Fields White is the director of San Diego Markets, the Founder and CEO of Farmers Market Pros and a host of Tent Talk, the farmers market podcast. She writes and speaks at conferences and events worldwide, teaching market organizers and participants to make their operations stronger and educating consumers about the importance of supporting small farmers and food businesses. She consults with community organizations, market managers and emerging and evolving entrepreneurs.
At San Diego Markets, Catt and her team bring farmers to the city and people to the table, at weekly, year-round farmers markets including San Diego County’s largest, hosting 180 farmers and vendors at the Little Italy Mercato since 2008. In 2020, Farmers Market Pros worked with cities, counties and market organizations to establish and refine safe COVID-19 protocols to keep farmers markets operating as essential components of local food systems.
